Kapa Taq DNA Polymerase PCR

 

KAPA Taq DNA Polymerase is based on the single-subunit, wild-type Taq DNA polymerase of the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus.

Taq possesses 5’-3’ polymerase activity, as well as double-strand dependent 5’-3’ exonuclease activity.

The enzyme lacks 3’-5’ exonuclease activity and therefore does not possess a proofreading function.

PCR products generated are A-tailed and may be cloned into TA cloning vectors.
